British National Points Series

Press Release, 18 December 2007

NEW NPS ENDURO SPONSORED BY WHYTE, ORGANISED BY THETFORD MTB RACING

No more guessing! No more waiting! The deals are done!

Thetford MTB Racing are to run the National Points Series next year with the backing of British Cycling and the ever-popular Sunday Enduro races are to be sponsored by Whyte, the high end UK mountain bike brand.

A new website has been launched containing the detail of dates, courses, entry details and background on the organisers. It's a massive coup for Paul Hore and Frank Jaworski at Thetford MTB Racing and it means the Great British endurance series is sponsored by the manufacturer who makes Great British mountain bikes.

Paul Hore from Thetford MTB said: "While all the venues are yet to be confirmed, the dates are set and we're working feverishly to get the venues secured in time for the New Year." His business partner Frank Jaworski added: "In the meantime, we hope you'll have a look around the new website - it is still evolving and is meant to be a one-stop, interactive resource for all things concerning the 2008 series."

Mark Greshon the UK Brand Manager for Whyte said: "This is the perfect opportunity for Whyte to show what we are made of teaming up this Great British brand with a Great British series. We are looking forward to being at the events with our latest product and meeting all the racers and teams."

Visitors to the new website can upload their photos and profiles, visit forums, or maybe become one of the site's featured riders. There is a 'Coach's Corner' section where riders can post questions about training answered by moderator Andrew Patterson of Patterson Training.

The new website also launches with an exclusive interview with racer Billy Whenman, who is preparing to tackle the Elite/Under 23 category following a very successful 2007 season in the Junior ranks.

Once the season is underway the site will offer online registration/payment, race results and series standing, and registered entries pages updated daily so you can see who you'll be racing against and know that we've received your entry.

Frank added: "This is your website! If you have a story to tell or would like to make a contribution, don't hesitate to contact us." And Paul said: "There are some exciting new venues and some familiar favourites. We're pleased to be working with Whyte, designers and manufacturers of bicycles specifically designed for and tested on UK trails. If we can match their energy and enthusiasm, it's going to be a great year!"
